The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is made up of six areas of learning and development which are connected to one another and are equally important.

Although the EYFS covers all ages in the nursery from 0-5 years  our activities are planned for each specific age group and differentiated for individual children.

A child’s progress is recorded in their own profile which forms a record of their life at nursery and tracks their individual progress and development. Parents have access to their child’s profile in the room at all times.

The main areas of the EYFS are summarised as follows

Personal, social and emotional development

Physical development

Creative development

Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy .

Communication, language and literacy

Knowledge and understanding of the world
